Summer Solstice
June 17 at 6:30pm
Dylan Lock is coming to Gamiing!!
We first heard of him during the pandemic. He pulled his instruments out on the drive in front of his garage and there he played, for the neighbours and passers-by. It was so uplifting and encouraging to hear some music and listen to it with others standing by (6' apart). Any donations went to nurses, doctors and other healthcare workers who are going beyond their regular hours. He made about $50.000. We were so mpressed with the whole set-up and reasons why.. Dylan Lock has to come to the Kawartha's and what better place than the Hayloft at Gamiing. As always, an outdoor concert just before the musquitos come out in force.
Check our webpage at www.gamiing.org with all the etails and possibilities for just the concert or for maybe come for the day or for the weekend and come camping, go kayaking. Great way to find out what Gamiing has all to offer.

Gamiing Summer Day Camps
Information for Summer Camps 2023
Four weeks of Camps in July:
Camp#1 July 03-07; Camp #2 July 10-14; Camp #3 July 17-21; Camp #4 July 24-28
Each Camp Day starts at 9:00am when we gather near the Hayloft. Once the backpacks are out of the way we will go to the first Still Spot for the gratitude circle. Then the day program starts. That can be going for a hike to learn about the trails and find stuff on the trails that is worth talking about. Ot we go fishing for frogs in one of the ;ponds or for fish in the lake. Another day we will go kayaking and bring a picnic lunch. One day is always set aside for native story telling ands making bannoc bread over an open fire.
After a few days, the camp participants will ask for an activity they are interested in.
It is a complete outdoor camp. Dress for the weather (forcast) or have extra pants and socks in your backpack.
We learn how to help each other and support each other when necessary and we have lots of fun!
